RecycCirc ( Recycling and archiving printed circuit board designs )
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Proposal Outline:

The proposed project would generate the required new methods for a Service concept that sellsactual recycled parts of printed circuit board designs. THE RESEARCH PROGRAM :The file formats of printed circuit board documents are quite diverse. From the sub-ecosystems of EDA( Electronic Design Automation ) tool houses there has already been found 22 different but commonfile formats. The project studies whether the format conversion is most feasible between “ input to manufacturingmachines “ formats or between the “design output” formats. The project maps the used file formats andselects the most used file formats to enter the integration and additional development of format conversionmethods between the essential formats. Another necessary field of research is to develop a logic framework and an algorithm based on it, to resolvewhether a conversion can be performed between a matching design in the designs database, and theparticular target EDA tool used at the moment by the customer. The goal is to be able to operate in the fieldof file formats that is used by at least 60% of the volume of the European Design Bureaus. The project also develops the IPR management methodology. The owner of the IPR of a design is often theowner of the brand of the electronics device in what the board is used. The purchased rights of the designbuyer must be clearly visible on the Service Contract.
