Green vEhicles For green EuRope (GEFER)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Proposal Outline:

THE OUTCOME WHICH ARE EXPECTED FROM THIS PROJECT: - Improved energy management and efficiency for FEVs as well as their drivers: the key concept of GEFER is to integrate energy efficiency management with road traffic management and hence provide a complete transparent and gapless information services for FEVs and enable their drivers to have a complete new driving experiences with higher level of autonomous assistance as well as optimized energy consumption in accordance with on-going driving on real-time basis. - Increased road safety: the driver will be informed in real time of the road conditions, traffic density, etc. - Improved efficiency and economic gain: reduce traffic congestion and maximize load factor of trucks. - Improve standard of living and health: reduce unnecessary emissions through traffic optimization and emission-related communication with vehicles to prompt driver to switch engine on/off when idling in pollution black spot. -The charge and discharge management of the FEV's CC (In the control centers the standardized accumulators or batteries will be charged by solar or wind energy.) FEVs can change their batteries with the ones which are charges in the control centers. Still in some produced FEVs accumulators or batteries can be changed. This can also develop the accumulators which can be standartly changed during the production. Besides the main objective, the project has set itself additional specific objectives: - Build a reliable real-time traffic management and energy efficiency management system that is fed by the different sensing data coming from vehicles, public and private infrastructure (e.g. traffic lights, induction loops, car parks), 3rd companies (transport fleet companies), etc. . --. - Design and test a Control Centre able to co-operatively gather all traffic, road,
