European Wildfires Geoportal: Knowledge building through data sharing
This project aims to create an innovative geospatial service for the application of managing/ monitoring European wildfires using a bottom-up approach. A key requirement for supporting better understanding of European Wildfires is to manage the data currently collected by key stakeholders e.g. Fire and Rescue Service, land managers, researchers and water companies etc. By bringing open GI data together this will help stimulate innovation in environmental management and provide opportunities for new business activites around the use and application of the data.
