Open for Talents

PROJECT OVERVIEW
PS ID:

PS-DE-85864

Status:

Closed

The “War for Talents” has already started – hard times for companies, which are not located on

the European hot spots, like Berlin, Paris, and London. “Open for Talents” aims to develop new

opportunities to enable especially countryside located enterprises to offer their special

location advantages to the applicants by using public open-data platforms. A tremendous and

prevailing worldwide information source can be used free of charge. By implementing users´

needs, search algorithms and masks as well as a novel visualisation of results to deliver a clear

decision support. With “Open for Talents” an innovative and user-friendly concept will support

European companies´ worldwide recruiting ambitions. To ensure a broad acceptance of the

“Open for Talents” application, multi-cultural user experience testing scenarios will be developed

and applied.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Proposal Outline:

In the first phase an analysis of the state-of-the-art in open data, (availability, data structures, content, …), acceptance studies with applicants and companies will be conducted. After conceptualization and operationalization phases, a European-wide testing scenario will become realized. After evaluation of the results with companies and employment centers in Europe, the final version of “Open for Talents” can “go public”.

With using European opendata platforms we need to manage an enormous amount of data with a large number of sources with very different contents and quality. We can access these European datebases free of charge and with nearly no legal limitations. Only very few applications are available, which connect or mesh-up different databases and combine these information in a user friendly and usagedriven way - adapted to their individual needs.
