The proposed Smart Municipal Water Management Arrangements (SWM) action aims at improving municipal water management arrangements by integrating smart sensor based intelligent information analytics into the existing municipal water infrastructure. In technical level the SWM addresses the full range of Complex Systems management issues - socio-technical multidisciplinary system, which includes the water network, water management discipline and end users socio-behavior). The SWM considers: (i) design of installation of metering and control devices (smart meters/regulators) which can in real-time monitor the water consumption particularities at the city to domestic levels; (ii) application of distributed networked agent-based and artificial intelligent knowledge acquisition models to investigate/predict and control the behavior of the Complex System; (iii) introduction of adaptive load balancing, alternative supply and pricing schemes based on the applied models/tools by project use cases.
Integration of SWM into the regular Water Network is considered will convert it to the category of Smart Network.
